Je suis heureuse de vous présenter le résultat de notre workshop en édition avec @atelier.toutvabien !
Notre défi était de créer un objet éditorial pour mettre en avant un discours qui nous touche profondément. Avec mon groupe, nous avons choisi le discours prononcé par Albert Camus lors de la réception de son Prix Nobel de littérature en 1957. À travers une imitation de folio en négatif, nous avons voulu capturer l’essence de son message : la responsabilité de l’écrivain de donner une voix à ceux qui ne peuvent s’exprimer, de rendre visibles les invisibles et de témoigner des injustices. Ce discours évoque notamment les malheurs de la guerre d’Algérie et le rôle essentiel de l’art et de la littérature face aux souffrances humaines.
Notre création repose sur un papier noir Olin 135g (et 320g pour la couverture) avec une impression blanche réalisée à l’aide de l’imprimante Xerox Iridess. Nous avons aussi intégré des photos sur un calque de 90g, qui viennent enrichir le discours et offrir une dimension visuelle à cette réflexion.

Our challenge was to create a printed object that highlights a speech that deeply resonates with us. With my group, we chose the speech delivered by Albert Camus upon receiving the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1957. Through a negative-style folio design, we aimed to capture the essence of his message: the writer’s responsibility to give a voice to those who cannot speak, to make the invisible visible, and to bear witness to injustice. This speech particularly reflects on the suffering caused by the Algerian War and the essential role of art and literature in confronting human suffering.
